With mental health being essential to overall well-being, it must be supported in the everyday lives of all people, and the focus should not be placed only on psychopathologies. Clinical psychologists and the larger mental health profession can leverage the omnipresent digital technology to promote and maintain people's mental wellness and transform existing mental health services and offerings. The present talk will share some of the work in the area of digital mental health as well as insights and challenges gleaned in the process of developing different digital tools for people with myriad needs. The hope is to co-create a more comprehensive and personalized service system that can empower the general public to practice mental health self-care and facilitate service providers to offer person-centered mental health services to a wider population.
