Introduction :
There are many neutropenia cases who require Nivestim injection to stimulate the production of white blood cells. Nivestim treatment usually take 3-4 consecutive days. Patient will receive first dose in our Day ambulatory center after assessment. Then the subsequent dose will be given in GOPC. However, we often receive feedback from patients for such arrangement. The reasons or complaints from patients include: Inconvenient of Clinic Visits, time in waiting appointment booking, cost concerns, Desire for comfort and privacy, need for independence, scheduling flexibility, risk of infection and desire for caregivers support. A patient education video, individual education class and evaluation will be provided to them. A follow up questionnaire and support telephone call will be provided.
Objectives :
The feedback from patients highlights several key reasons for seeking self-injection education at home rather than relying on outpatient clinic visits. The objective for the education are; convenience by saving time and improving privacy, empower and boosting patient self-confidence to their own healthcare, reduce the healthcare costs for patient and healthcare system and reduced exposure of infections
Methodology :
To ensure that patients are properly trained in self-administration techniques, understanding the risks and benefits of home injections, and have access to support and guidance from healthcare providers when needed. Individual Class will be provided to patient and their caregivers. Assessment will be performed by return demonstration and questioning. Cue card with education video will be given to patient for revision anytime at home. Patient can contact us and give advice via the google evaluation form.

The key goals: 1.Ensure a percentage of patients receive comprehensive self-injection training. 2.Enhance patient adherence to treatment plans. 3.Improve satisfaction with self-injection programs. 4.Decrease necessary clinic visits for medication administration. 5.Enhance health outcomes through self-administration. 6.Ensure safe self-administration practices. 7.Attain cost savings for patients and healthcare systems. 8.Evaluate the success of patient training. 9.Ensure adherence to self-injection protocols. 10.Offer adequate support for self-injecting patients. The KPIs enables healthcare providers to assess the success of self-injection programs and make necessary adjustments for optimal patient outcomes. We assess the overall impact on patients' health and well being. Data on health outcomes related to the condition being treated (e.g. symptom management, emergency visits) will be collected. To measure of success by utilizing a combination of return demonstrations, patient feedback, follow-up support, adherence tracking, and health outcomes assessment. Throughout one year data collection, there are 40 patients recruited and 24 patients (60%) willing to join this program. Only one response in finding technical problem on needle removal. The successful rate is 95%. And 100% of patient find satisfactory in this program.
