Introduction :
“Right patient, right place, right treatment” is crucial when delivering effective rehabilitation training to patients. RAMS offers a one-stop solution through a smart device for treatment planning, identity verification, live monitoring of exercise delivery and treatment progress review.
Objectives :
This review aims to analyze user satisfaction upon implementation of RAMS in Physiotherapy(PT) Department, Kowloon Hospital(KH) and explore the associated favorable outcomes.
Methodology :
Upon installation of RAMS, training sessions were organized for professional and supporting staff to familiarize themselves with the system. Frontline staff were involved in venue preparation and setup for RAMS. A trial run was conducted to assess and refine logistics. Peer support and discussion were encouraged among venues to facilitate a smoother implementation process.

Since May 2024, the KH PT Department has launched RAMS for in-patient treatment venues. For evaluation after six months, frontline professionals and supporting staff were invited to complete a self-reported questionnaire(6-point Likert Scale) measuring user satisfaction, along with qualitative feedback collection.
Result & Outcome :
Thirty frontline professionals and supporting staff completed the questionnaire. They reported RAMS as effective in facilitating rehabilitation training logistics, especially in a busy in-patient treatment venue(mean score of 4.3 out of 5). RAMS was shown to provide sufficient information to safeguard patients’ safety during training without compromising patient privacy(mean score of 4.5 out of 5). Supporting staff reported the system as user-friendly and helped build their workplace competency in using smart devices. Prescribed treatment plans could be accessed by supporting staff prior to training sessions with exercise progression monitoring. The real-time monitoring allows them to proactively engage in treatment sessions. RAMS improved patients’ eagerness to comply with rehabilitation training increased due to increased participation in training progress.

RAMS ensures the right treatment is provided at the right time and place to the right patient. Training effectiveness and patient experiences are enhanced as RAMS streamlines logistics and progress monitoring. RAMS is incorporated into the Clinical Management System, allowing for simple treatment record transfers and alleviating workload for professional staff. RAMS allows managerial staff to monitor equipment utilization for better equipment maintenance and replacement planning. Real-time tracking of treatment venue occupancy enables equitable manpower allocation. RAMS enhances workflow, builds staff competency and increases patient participation. Further implementation of RAMS to other settings is warranted to enhance treatment safety and patient experiences.
