Introduction :
Electronic Results Screening is to remove manual workflow on handling routine Lab Result Reports by using CMS platform.
Objectives :
Risk could be also reduced by monitoring and traceability of result screening and follow up.
Methodology :
PWH – HASC was implemented ERS since July 2023. The out-patient result management system is an electronic solution designed to handle laboratory and radiology reports for out-patients. An email will be sent to team leaders in instances where reports remain unscreened or without follow-up by doctors and nurses for a period of 7 days.
Result & Outcome :
Risk was reduced by monitoring and traceability of result screening and follow up. Reduced 80% of paper usage in PWH-HASC and environmental damage was also reduced.
Overall comments from Doctors and Nurses are excellent.
