Introduction :
Improving patient safety and ensuring high quality of care serve as a foundation for healthcare strategies. By focusing on these aspects, it is crucial to build a safety culture in workplace. In this connection, “TINS” program was launched in Jan 2024, aims to enhance patient safety and quality of care, facilitate personal/department growth and development.
Objectives :
1.Foster a Quality and Safety culture
2.Keep the team happy and engaged
3.Rapid response to incidents and risks
Methodology :
A series of nursing activities were launched to promote safety culture
- Teleconference
- Incidents and complaints sharing session
- Nurse Management Rounds
- Sharing session (Journal Club and ANC sharing session)
Result & Outcome :
From Jan to Dec 2024, 2 Incidents and complaints sharing session, 6 Nurse Management Round and 9 journal club sharing session and 3 ANC sharing sessions were conducted.
More than 90% nurse managers agreed that “TINS” program has fostered the Q&S culture in workplace and able to provide a platform for good practice sharing and standardization. More than 70% frontline nurses agreed that “TINS” program has enhanced their awareness in Q&S, and have positive impact on personal/department growth and development
